Since its establishment on the Gold Coast 20 years
ago Horizon Sailmakers has contributed a consistent level of interest
and sponsorship towards the local dinghy, trailer sailor and yacht-racing
scene. Horizon is well renowned for a professional level of service
providing clients with high quality workmanship and the latest computer
designed and cut sail shapes.
The loft is situated on Smith Street in Southport,
stocking a wide range of sail hardware, fabrics and webbing. Sailmakers
Ben and Tim will always be willing to answer any questions and give
advice where needed.
Horizon has also become a well-known provider of quality
service and repairs for cruising yachts heading along the east coast.
Horizon offers competitive prices while delivering only the highest
level of quality and service.
Often cruisers heading north will be so impressed with
the service and workmanship provided they would place orders for sails
to be sent north to meet them upon their arrival.
Our sailmakers Ben Kelly and Tim Phillips come from
predominately racing backgrounds with consistently good results in classes
such as Sabot, 125, 420, 505, NS14, Blazer 23, Elliot 5.9mtr, VS 15ft
Skiff Cherub, Skiff moth.
Ben is currently involved in The Granger
32 Trimaran "Trilogy". The development processes trialed
and race proven on boats such as this will only add to the benefits
gained to Horizon's ground customer base.
Horizon's are currently breaking into the sail boarding market with
a new extremely strong yet light weight range of wave sails. The
sails have turned heads locally due to a different approach in construction
and design. For further information on these sails don't hesitate
to contact the guys. |
